This accessibility statement applies to the Pay your court fine or maintenance order service. The service begins after you click the ‘Start now’ action button on the Pay a court fine page of the gov.uk website.

This website is run by the Ministry of Justice. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

• Resize text without assistive technology up to 200 percent without loss of content or functionality
• Zoom in up to 300 percent without the text spilling off the screen
• Navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
• Navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
• Listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

How accessible is this website?

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:

• The page where you input your card details (Barclaycard ePDQ) does not work with some forms of speech recognition software. It is compatible in both Internet Explorer and Google Chrome using Dragon Speech Recognition Software version 15
• There is some poor colour contrast throughout the form
• Headings and labels describing the topic or purpose are not consistent and may not allow screen readers to be clear
• The service may not read well if it is in another language

How we tested this website

This website was last tested on 16 September 2020. The test was carried out by Digital Accessibility Centre (DAC) using software JAWS 18 and 2019, TalkBack, VoiceOver, NVDA and Dragon Speech Recognition.

We used this approach to deciding on a sample of pages to test.

The Barclaycard payment pages were tested on 29 June 2021. The test was carried out by Digital Accessibility Centre (DAC).

Dragon Speech Recognition Software version 15 was used on both Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.
